There’s something special cooking in Radar Grounds, Eldoret.
Founded in 2015, Mfalme Fc has quietly gone about their business in the FKF DIV 1 ZONE D. But this season, ‘quiet’ no longer applies. Between their league form and an eye-catching run in the FKF Mozzartbet Cup, the club is starting to get the attention it deserves.
Under the guidance of Head Coach - Julius Abik, Mfalme Fc have found consistency at the right time. They are currently topping FKF DIV 1 ZONE D with 47 points built on 14 wins, 5 draws and just 2 losses. It’s a kind of record that shows control, not luck and it’s that same control that has carried into their cup run.
They have had such a convincing run in the Cup competition
It began with a 2-1 win against Naivasha SYFA in the RO64 with Felix scoring both goals a match that required patience and moments of quality. In the RO32 they edged Wisdom Soccer with a narrow 1-0 victory Payai on the score sheets – one of those games where discipline matters more than flair.
Then came the statement.
A 5-1 win over a Sportpesa League side – Murang’a Seals in the RO16 didn’t just send them through but it announced them. Payai’s brace led the way, but the performance as a whole showed a team that is confident, well-drilled and not afraid of the big stage. Payai Arok is turning up with 3 goals already, showing real KILLER INSTICTS INFRONT OF GOAL.
Thy are not just chasing promotion. They’re building something. Something that now stretches beyond DIV 1 and into National conversion.
Cup competition often give underdogs stories – but not all underdogs’ look this ready.
Will Mfalme Fc rise shake the table and rewrite the script in the quarterfinals …. or will the cup dream hit a hard stop right here???????????????
