Yup it is. I had been lived there earlier for 2 years. You shall barely find any local resident on the streets after 7 pm. Although the place gets the fame for being haunted from back the 18th & 19th century during the British rule. There are many reports if murders. Back then finding a corpse in the foothills of the place wasn't much of a surprise. To my personal experience, I myself had dug up a bullet from the ground, which dated back to 1932. Many of the locals say they have seen the Ghosts of people who had been murdered earlier. Although if you are a strong hearted person you might want to have a stroll. But trust me there are no street lights. So I wouldn't be suggesting that. And in case you may also have a haunted vibe.

and plus another veiwer from Quora by the name of Oracle has said this-I have done my schooling from Kurseong and I can say that this question has two answers.

  1. There are stories about downhill road in Kurseong, many people believe and many do not .I myself have gone there many times it is a beautiful but also scary place and as there is most of the time for in Kurseong so that makes it even more goffy. The jungle, the straight standing pine tree and curved roads which will surely give the vibes from Twilight. I have had a mere experience there myself while I was out for trekking. Not too scary just that I thought I saw a person not far than 5 meters smoking and as I turned back to check how far my friends were behind and turned back to see he/she ( as I said earlier fog so not clearly visible) was gone. That was that but again there are many local who call this flabbergast.They say the Victoria boys school that is from the British time( quite a vintage school) is also haunted. So there is that constant argument if it is true or not , basically it totally upto your beliefs

so yes their is a side that does not belive it but are you sure if its real or are you sure its fake. Welp we will never get to know that. and thats it for today folks
