He rejects the supernatural explanation of the legend and uses cold logic to debunk it. His associate Dr. Watson, tries his best to keep up with Holmes' diligence. He resides at 221B Baker Street, London. Though eccentric at times he plays a key role in the novel and pursues truth. He uses a person's small details to make deductions about them. He has a rigid moral code, he champions justice and fairness over law when the two conflict, making him one of the best and iconic characters in the Literature world, as his mysteries continue to inspire the world today.
