Accountancy 11 – Magallanes stamped its authority in the TMCSHS 3x3 Basketball League – Queen J Cup 2026, leading the pack with an unbeaten record as the competition wrapped up earlier than expected during the awarding program on March 19, 2026.
Magallanes opened with a narrow 8-7 escape over De Ocampo, showing composure in a tight duel. Followed by a dominant 15-5 victory against Alfonso, displaying control and teamwork that carried them throughout the tournament.
De Ocampo answered with strong outings to secure the 1st runner up spot. After falling short against Magallanes, the team bounced back by overpowering Aguado, 15-5, and outlasting Alfonso, 15-13. It continued its surge by defeating Gregorio, 18-9, to earn a chance against the undefeated leaders. The team also subdued Logro, 15-9, proving its consistency in crucial matches.
Gregorio settled for 2nd runner up after a challenging run. The team absorbed a close 13-11 defeat against Logro and bowed to Benitez, 10-8, in another tight encounter, placing them behind the top two squads.
With the academic calendar taking priority, the tournament concluded without a championship showdown as exam week approached.
In the final standings, Magallanes claimed the championship with a clean 4-0 slate, while De Ocampo placed first runner-up with a 4-1 record. Gregorio secured second runner-up honors after posting a 3-2 standing.
Borj Rebadulla earned the Most Valuable Player award after displaying impressive skills and leadership on the court. Alvin Sabbha, Clarence Osal, and Jiro Quiambao were named to the Mythical Three for their notable performances.
Trece Martires City Senior High School also expressed their gratitude to John Allyson Sepacio, SK Federation President, along with Ms. Cherry Lou C. Mojica, Master Teacher II of Tanza National Trade School and a close associate of Queen J, Sir Jerome A. Pascual, for sponsoring the prizes of the event.
Despite the absence of a final showdown, the event highlighted the determination and effort of every team. The shortened run did not diminish the intensity of the games, as each squad delivered a strong showing, leaving a mark on this year’s Grade 11 basketball tilt.
